Sep 7, 2010 2010 Red Hat Awards Finalists Announced On Wednesday, September 29 the 2010 Red Hat Award winners will be announced. Today, Tourism Red Deer revealed the finalists for this year’s awards. The Red Hat Awards honour excellence in customer service and community involvement in the hospitality and tourism industry. This year a new record was set with over 1,800 nomination forms being received in 11 categories.

The 4th annual Discover Red Deer & Area is being held today as part of national tourism week and once again it is being well received by the residents of our area. Over 20 tourism operators have set up booths at Bower Mall in Red Deer promoting their tourism product to mall patrons. It runs from 11am to 6 pm.

Sep 1, 2009 Visitor Information Centre on Track to Smash 2008 Record Today, Tourism Red Deer released the number of travelers that it has received at its visitor information centre for this year up to August 31. So far the year to date total is 57,817 (2009) that is up from 54,284 last year (2008).
